Is this a real Seiko, or a counterfeit?
Neither — it's a custom watch built around a genuine Japanese Seiko NH35
movement. "Seiko modding" is a long-established practice in the watch world: you take an
authentic Seiko movement and build a custom watch around it with better components. The
movement inside is 100% real Seiko. The dial, case and hands are custom. There is no Seiko
logo on the dial, because it isn't a Seiko-branded watch — and we'd rather be straight with
you about that than pretend otherwise. Open the caseback and have it verified by any
watchmaker.
What makes the 007 Two-Tone special?
It's the two-tone Seamaster idea in a custom NH35 build: a silver
Seamaster-style case paired with a gold and black bezel, gold crowns, and
an open exhibition caseback. Gold has been Bond's colour since Goldfinger in 1964, and the
two-tone is its most wearable form — steel does the heavy lifting, gold catches the light.
Sapphire crystal on BOTH sides, front and display back, is unheard of at
this price.
What's the second crown at 10 o'clock?
That's the dive-watch signature. On the original Seamaster Diver 300M,
the crown at 10 o'clock is a helium escape valve — during deep saturation
diving, helium works its way into a watch, and the valve lets it escape during decompression
so the crystal doesn't pop off. On this build the 10 o'clock crown is styled the same way —
it's the detail that marks a Seamaster as a Seamaster, and it balances the crown at 3.
It's decorative here, and we'd rather tell you straight than pretend otherwise.
Steel bracelet or gold bracelet?
The stainless steel bracelet is what we shot the watch
on — it keeps the two-tone disciplined, and it's the safer everyday choice. The
gold bracelet turns the two-tone all the way up so it matches the bezel,
which makes it more of a statement piece — the full black-tie look. Same price either way,
so it's purely taste. Pick whichever one in the selector above checkout.
Can I swim with it?
Yes — this one is rated 10 ATM (100m), so swimming and
snorkelling are genuinely fine. It is not rated for scuba diving, and we'd still take it off
for hot showers and saunas — steam and rapid temperature swings are hard on any watch,
regardless of rating. Crown pushed in, gaskets intact, and this watch will handle real
water. It's a Seamaster-style diver — it should.
Will I pay customs, duties, or any hidden fees?
No. All customs duties and import fees are paid by Emperor
Mods. You will never get a bill, an invoice, or a request for payment. The price at
checkout is the total price, and your watch arrives at your door with zero additional cost.
How long does delivery take to the US?
Typically 7–9 days via FedEx Express. You'll get a
tracking number within 24–48 hours of ordering. Every shipment is fully insured
door-to-door — if something goes wrong in transit, we replace the watch at our cost, not
yours.
Will it last? What about servicing?
The NH35 has a reputation for running reliably for 10–20+ years with
basic care, and it's the single most serviceable automatic movement on the planet — any
competent watchmaker can work on it and parts are common and cheap. The sapphire crystal
won't scratch in normal wear and 316L steel doesn't corrode. You get a registered 1-year
warranty, and we'll still help with repairs after it expires.
What if something's wrong when it arrives?
Then we fix it. Contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll sort out
a repair, replacement or exchange — the watch needs to be unworn with the protective films
still on. We've built over 2,400 watches and fewer than 3% ever come back, but if yours has
a problem you'll deal with us directly, not a support queue.
How is this different from just buying a Seiko?
A retail Seiko in the $200–300 range typically gives you a Hardlex
mineral crystal, a stamped clasp, and a design shared with tens of thousands of other
owners. Here you get dual sapphire crystals, a solid 316L
two-tone case with a gold-and-black bezel, and a watch you won't see on another
wrist. You're trading the logo on the dial for better components and genuine originality.
